NAVY LEAGUE.

To-morrow in the City streets lady members of the Navy League and others will offer for sale miniature white ensigns, the flag of the Royal' Navy. The sale is in aid of the funds of the League. In connexion with the garden and river fete which will be held on Saturday afternoon next in aid of the funds of the Navy League, it should be stated that the Women's Auxiliary Committee of the Canterbury branch of the League have been preparing for the fete all the winter, and as the result of their efforts there will be stalls for the sale of strawberries and cream, ice-cream, iced drinks, cake's, and Christmas puddings, sweets, flowers, plants, and other garden produce, handkerchiefs, balloons, toys, Christmas gifts, and a variety stall. Children will also be specially provided for.
