Amongst the gifts recently made to the Auckland Museum is a curious natural formation found on the largest of the hills known as the TTiree Kings. This is a volcanic vent, a round aperture of stone, through which, in the dim post, the smoke and fumes of the nether world must have passed. It- is the gift of Mr George*Winstone, jun.
