Boys' Doubles—A. Stevens and I. Hulme lost to P. Welsh and P. Dunning 7-9, S. .Evans and I. Corich lost to M. Robson and P. Collinson 4-9.

Girls' Singles—Dorothy Hamer lost to Olive Walker 4-6, Doriß Smith beat Una Hart Stuart 6-1, Ola Ritchie beat Jean Taylor 6-3, Inez Evans beat Valerie Andrews 6-3.

Girls' Doubles—D. Hamer and D. Smith lost to 0. Walker and U. Hart Stuart 8-9, 0. Ritchie and I. Evans beat J. Taylor and V. Andrews 9-4. North Brighton won by 72 games to 60. RANKING MATCH. T. W. Patterson staved off a challenge by P. Or. (Jreenwood tor third place on the Canterbury ranking list, defeating him in two straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. Though Greenwood played some wonderful shots, ho was no match for the forceful tactics of Patterson, whose net play and volleying were a feature of the gamo. WEST EYRETON V. CUST.
