HEATHCOTE NEWS.

Sunday School Anniversary. The fifty-filth anniversary of the Heathcote Methodist Sunday school was celebrated on Sunday last, there being a very large congregation at each of the services. The preachers for the day were: Morning, Rev. Mr Sharp; afternoon, Mr Voss; evening, Rev. A. R. Penn. The children, who were ably assisted by the choir, eang the anthems in excellent style, which refleoted credit on the conductor, Mrs W. T. Huston, who kindly comes from Lyttelton every year to train the choir and children. Miss R«nee Connolly gave a solo. The organist for the day was Miss D. Westbrooke. The choir and children will repeat last Sunday evening's programme next Sunday.
