NAPIEB, December 6,
The small stoam trawler Waiwiri, owned by Barnao Bros., of Palmerston North, due in port about 4 o'clock this afternoon, had failed to put in appearance late to-night. Another trawler, the Pilot, left at 10.15 to make search for the missing vessel, which is presumed to have experienced engine trouble, as the conditions off-shore are not such as would suggest any more serious happening. The Bnru and Kahika, now on the way to Napier from Cape Turnagain and Wellington respectively, may sight the Waiwiri. During the afternoon she was seen by other trawlers on the fishing grounds and appeared to bo all right
