Present indications are for strong northerly winds to gales, backing to westerlies, and later to south-westerly, the weather be, coining unsettled, cloudy, and squally, with rain, in maiy parts heavy, with rivers flooded shortly in the West Coast districts of the South Island, and a warmer temperature for a time on the East Coast. An intense depression is 6ituated over the Tasman Sea, and boisterous conditions, with rough to high seas, are likely, extending to New Zealand.
