N.Z. NAVAL RESERVE.

ORGANISATION TO PROCEED. (PRISS ISSOCIATIOX MLBGRAM.) WELLINGTON. December 3. The Minister for Defence (tho Hon Mr Rolleston) stated to-day that preliminary steps will bo tafceu next week in connexion with the organisation of tho New Zealand Royal Naval Reserve Class D Divisions, in Christchurch and Dunedin and that Captain J. R. Middleton, D.SXX, R.N., Director of the New Zealand Royal Naval Reserives, is proceeding south on Monday night for that purpose. Captain Middleton proposes to be in Christchurch on Tuesday, and Dunedin on Thursday, and to return to Christchurch on Friday night, December 9th, leaving again for Wellington the following night.
