REINSTATEMENT. FERET'S APPLICATION. (Received December 4th, 5.5 I>-ui..j PARIS, December 3. " Considerable opposition is developing towards Feret's application for re-admission as an amateur tennis player, even though he offers to hand over £3OO which he made as a professional. The president of tlio Tenuis Federation says that it would render the Federation ridiculous in tho eyes of the tennis world. It is doubtful whether Mile. Suzanne Lenglen is sufficiently interested in tennis to care about her status. She has acquired a fair amount of money, and appears to have gone into quiet and comfortable retirement. VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Received December 4th, 5.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, December 4. Play in the Victorian tennis championships was continued on Saturday, niostly semi-finals being played. The only final decided was the mixed doubles, iu which Hawses and Miss Boyd Victoria) beat Moon (Queensland) and Miss Cox (Xev- South Wales), G-0. 6-S.
