Woh by 220 yds, Henderson being the only entrant who did not lose his pacer. Second heat: C. Austin (Holland), 225 yds, 1; W. T. Weir . (Marra), 150 yds 2. Time, smin 15 2-ssec. Won by 60yds. Final (five miles)— Austin 1, Henderson 2. Weir punctured at a rnile and pulled out; Henderson at nearly half-way, and Austin when nearing the last' stage of the race. Henderson and Austin started off again on new cycles, Austin winning by 550 yds. One Mile Open Handicap—First heat: 3. H, Silvester (80yds) 1, L. Pither (90yds) 2. Time, 2min 4sec. Second heat: A. J. Shields repeated his exeelbnt performance of tho previous Saturday when ho won the quarter-mile flat handicap. NEXT WEDNESDAY'S SPORTS. The North Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Athleiio and Cycling Union will continue the series."of Bports meetings at English Park Stadium next A programme of cycling, motor-paced racing, and running will bo held. The events, for which,the entries close to-nisht, are a* fol-lows:—Half-mile open cycle handicap, threequarter mile op«n cycle handicap, two mites scratch rac°, 120 yards flat handicap, and 4tn yards flat handicap. The entries close with Walden and Nunn, at the Stadium, or with the secretary, Mr P. C. Lucas.
