Tho .Otago amateur athletic championships wore held yesterday in boautlful weather, the Caledonian ground being in good condition. H. 1). Morgan won tha 100 yds flat, 120 yds hurdles, 440yd8 hurdles, and shot-putting championships. 0. M. Olson, the prosent halt mile Now Zealand champion, won the 220, 440, and 880 yds championships, and ran second to Morgan in the 100 yds fiat. J. • J. Morris won the milo flat, and C. W. Frye won tho throe miles. Mißs M. Stewart won tho 100 yds ladies. J. A, Wilson won the ono and threo mile' walks. Civil Service won tho relay championship. J. 0. Leckio won, the hammer throw with a throw of 148 ft 61n, said to bo. tho best throw by » New Zenlander in New Zealand. 0. Nicolson (Invercnrgill) won the javolln throwing, B. Provo the discus, 0. Rout (Invorcargill) the broad jump, A. H. Malcolm the high jump, B. 0. Johnston the hop, stop, and jump and polo vault, and S. Bramford the milo and three mile cycle championships.
