TWO SUPER-WESTERNS.

KEN MAYNARD AND GARY COOPER. Admirers of Western romances are due for a regular feaat of entertainment at the Crystal Palace next week, whore two big superAVesterns are listed for presentation. One of the latest Western -'stars," Ken Maynard, will be seen -in "The Devil's Saddle," tva exceptionally suitable story to exploit the handsome Maynard. It concerns the oioneer day 3 of the West but does not involve the conventional happonings of a hero and girl which have been told and retold in pictures of the early settler's days. Ken Maynard as the adventuresome cowboy is led through a hectic pace trying to thwart a band of land-grabbers, and is afforded more than the normal opportunities to thrill and entertain the audience by his trickriding and fighting. Another Western "star" new to the screen is Gary Cooper, who will appear in Paramount's exciting Western special, "The Last Outlaw," wherein the subject is treated from an entirely different angle thus affording varied entertainment. Contrary to what one mav think, Gary Cooper does not enact tho title role; "The Last Outlaw" is a woman (Betty Jewel), and it is the star's task to capture her. Needless to say he does, but not before the audience is treated to sequences of exciting and thrilling incidents embodying some ontirely new "stunts." The programme should prove of more than usual interest and entertainment. Tho Symphony Orchestra, under the conductor3hip of Mr Alfred J. Bunz, will play, among other numbers: "Finlandia" (SibeHub), "Symphony No. 6" (Techaikowsky). "Bhapsodie G Minor" (Dvorak), "Carnival (Dvorak), "La Danza" (Rossini), "Rider Pasman" (Strauss), "Novelette" (Gade), "Sapho" (Massenet), "Mayfair" (Higgs), "Valse Tristo" (Sibelius). The iox plans are at Tho Bristol Piano Comi.Wy, whero scats may be reserved.
