PALESTINE LOAN.

OVER-SUBSCRIPTION IN LONDON. (BRITISH OmcUL WIBELESS.) RUGBY, December 1. The subscription list of the Palestine Government loan of £4,475,000, bearing interest at 5 per cent., and offered at 100 i per cent., was opened this morning and closed in about two hours. It is stated that the loan has been many times over-subscribed. Principal and interest are guaranteed by the British Treasury. Part of the money will be spent on the construction of a harbour at Haifa, improvement of the port of Jaffa, and railway capital improvements and public works. Of the remainder £1,000,000 will be paid to the British Government, and other assets will be taken over, and the balance will go in defraying money temporarily advanced.
