A HOSPITAL BOARD INCIDENT.

TO THE EDITOR Of THE PRESS. Sir,—While perusing your estimable journal upon my returnto our beautiful City after a few weeks' absence, 1 noticed, with surprise, and almost with disgust, that, a lady member of the Hospital Board had withdrawn from a meeting of that body recently while a division was taken upon a motion which she had spoken against. Now, Sir, I would like to say, and with emphasis, that in the opinion of the writer nothing could have been more petty, 'ess sporting, or less British to those who were present at that meeting and) held opposite views.—-Yours, HORACE. December Ist, 1927.
