HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. (PRESS ASSOCLATtO* fILKIBAtf.) WELLINGTON, December 2. In tho House of Representatives thin morning amendments to the Finance Bill dealing with teachers' superannuation wore introduced by Governor's message, and read a first time. The managers on the Rent Restriction Bill reported that an agreement had beon come to with the Legislative Council, though not. entirely satisfactory to the House. Tho report was received.
The report of the conference on tho Coal Mines Bill was received, and agreed to, the Legislative Council not insisting on its amendments.
The House rose at 1.40 a.m. till 11 a.m.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

WELLINGTON, December 1.
When the Legislative Council met this afternoon the Insurance Companies Deposits Amendment Bill was reported by the Statutes Revision Committee with an amendment extending the date for the making of deposits to March 31st next. The Bill was put through its final stages and passed with an amendment made by the Committee. The new amendment wns proposed by the Hon. Mr Weston, and Sir Francis Bell intimated that if he considered it nocessary after considering it,\ he would introduce it by GovernorGeneral's message. A request by tho House for a conference on the Rent Restriction Continuance Bill, and the Coal Mines Amendment Bill, was agreed to. Tho Licensing Amendment Bill was received from tho House and road a flrßt time.
The Contributory Negligence Bill (Hon. Mr Macgregor) was put through its final stages and passed without amendment.
In the evenirig the Council read thn Licensing Bill a second timo. The Council adjourned at 10.36 until 10.30 a.m. to-morrow.
