ATHLETICS.
CANTERBURY COLLEGE CLUB. Controlled by the Canterbury College Amateur Athletic Club, an evening meeting was ield at Lancaster Park yesterday. The track was in excellent condition, with the result that some good times were registered. There was an exceptionally good finish in the three milos handicap, K. B. E. Taylor winning by a foot from D. C. Bain. The results were as follows:

Third heat: Burn (Uyds) 1, Allen (4Jyds) 2, W. Browri ,(12jyds) 3. Time, 12 l-ssec. Fourth heat: 'Calderwood (JOJyds) 1, Dunn (15yds) 2, Johnston (4jyds) 3. Time, 12 l-ssec. Final—Clark and Burn (dead-heat) 1, Murphv 3. Time, 12 1-osec. 880 yds Handicap—Cousins (Ssyds) 1, Koseinjrravo (15yds) 2, Mullany (85yds) 3. Time, 2min 2 l-3sec. Won by iwo yards.
