"CRADLE SNATCHERS."
THEATRE ROYAL, TO-NIGHT.
The "Cradle Snatchere" will take possession of the Theatre Royal to-night. According to reports it will be a night of uncontrollable laughter. It ia a farce-comedy, in which the pace is on. from the moment the curtain goes up. When the three husbands of the three women have left on their shooting party, the ladies get busy, and, with " their fellow-conspirators, keep the hoUBe in a roar. Tho Buccess achieved ia a triumph, in the main, for the three clever actresses who impersonate the wives—Miss Olive Sloane, Miss Jessamine Newconibe, and Miss Bertha Bclmore. Miss Sloane sets the tempo for the orchestra of fun, and the other two keep step. The second act, in which the youngsters from college make love to the ladies who have engaged them for the purpose, is easily the most hilarious. In the hands of less experienced actors and actresses, it might become too broadly farcical. There are situations that Bend the houße inta hysterics. There is a rare personal charm in the vivacity of tho two younger women, and Miss Belmoro acts as an admirable foil. The three young fellows are played on conventional farce lines by Jack Halloran, Maury Tucke.-man, and Fred Conyngham. The most freakish note is struck by Mr Tuckerman, bs the alleged Swede, but all do well. Others prominent in the cast are Sydney Stirling, Arthur Connell, Herbert Belmore, and Lucille Lisle. The box plans are at The Bristol.
