QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"The Isle of Retribution," a story of the frozen wastes of Alaska, adapted from Edison Marshall's famous novel, is the headliner at the Queen's Theatre this week. It is superby acted by a strong cast, headed by Lillian Rich and Victor McLaglen. There are some gripping situations, and the scenery of the frozen north is very fascinating. Ned Cornet, son of Godfrey Cornet, an old, hardened pioneer of the north, who has made millions in fur, is aU but a wastrel, the typical rich man's son. His life is. a round of wild parties. In order to bring him to his senses, his father sends him to inspect an outlying trading post. There- he meets a young girl with whom he falls in love. There are many exciting adventures before the picture is brought to a happy conclusion. "Gun Shy" is a breezy 'Western story, which ha* all the charms of a film of this kind. Franklyn Farmer makes a good marshal, and gets through his fighting tasks like a Tom Mix.
