UNION ROWING CLUB. On Monday night tho first heats of the President's Cup race were rowed under unfavourable conditions owing to wet weather and shallow water. The results were as follows: First Heat—F. Rogers (str), G. Duggan (.')), R. Lnvton (2), 11. Thiele (bow), beat W. Greenway (str), H. Booth (3), H. Logan (2), G. Greenway (bow). This was a splendid race to Cowlishaw's Corner, where F. Rogers's crew drew away to win easily. Second Heat —A. Rogers (str), O. Anderson (3). G. Toner (2), J. O'Reilly (bow) defeated L. Bowdcn (scr), E. Weir (3), 11. h. Bush (2). A. McAuliffe (bow). Bowdi" ' ■ crow led to Avon sheds, but through ha il pressure by A. Rogers's crew, pulled out to let the latter win easily. The linal was rowed Inst evening, when F. Rogers's crew won easily. This is the fourth year in succession thnl F. Rogers has rowed in tho winning crew.
