At 7.30 p.m. to-day the Rt. Hon. L. S. Amery (Secretary of State for tho Dominions) will officially open the grand Christmas toy fair at tho Jellicoe Hall, Gloucester street. The fair is being arranged by the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association and has a two-fold object. One to raise funds to enable them to carry on the work they arc at present doing, and the other to prore to the public generally that British toys can compete more than favourably with toys of foreign make.
