A NEW ZEALANDER IN AUSTRALIA.
Mr H. Nevill-Smith's many friends in Christchurch will bo interested to know that he recently returned to Sydney after a very successful trip to Queensland, where he was appointed musical adjudicator to the A.N.A. Eisteddfod in Brisbane, and to the Musical Competitions in Bundaberg. Bundaberg, by thu way, is a flourishing town in the centre of the sugar-cane district. After the Bundaberg Competition had finished, Mr Nevill-Smith gave a very successful vocal recital there, and the following -night was engaged as soloist for the Maryborough Philharmonic subscription concert. On his return to Sydney he gave the last of his vocal subscription concerts.
