LISTENERS' LEAGUE. At a meeting of the Canterbury Radio Listeners' League, at which proposals by the Broadcasting Company in regard to the appointment of a listeners' representative on the company's programme committee were received, it was resolved that the company be advised that the committee considered that the company, through Station 3YA, should call on listeners-in for nominations for the position, and should itself conduct, through 3YA, the voting of listeners on the subject. The reason for the committee's course of action was that it considered that the League, unfortunately, was not truly representative of Canterbury listenersin, because its members numbered less than ten per cent, of the licensed list-eners-in in the province. »
