FIRES.

SAVED WITH DIFFICULTY. (PREBS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DARGAVTLLE, November 23. At 2.30 o'clock this morning a large house owned by Walter Faithfull, sen., was, with its contents, destroyed, nothing being saved. The only occupants at the time of the outbreak were, Mrs Faithfull. who is old and in bad health, and her son. who had great difficulty in rescuing his aged mother from the burning building. The insurances are not available. The need for protection against fire loss is obvious. Consult the Mercantile and General Insurance Co., Ltd., Hereford street. —"
