THE AIR FORCE.

TERRITORIAL TRAINEES. Ten selected Territorials from all over the Dominion are to be given an opportunity of becoming proficient air pilots in the New Zealand Air Force, and their training will commence at the Wigram Aerodrome, Sockburn, on Friday next. Over 100 applications wero made for admittance to the branch of the Service as soon as the Government's offer became known, and the task of selecting the ten men was completed recently. A twelve weeks' instructional course has been mapped out, and the selected trainees will have their first flight, officially, on Friday, in order to test their "air sense." Men with a knowledge of motor engines will probablv be available as mechanics. The course has no connexion with the nsual "refresher courses," the latter being for ex-war pilots only.
