MARRIED MAN'S DEATH.
BODY FOUND NEAR RESIDENCE. At nine o'clock yesterday morning Robert William Hest, a married man resident at 44 Shrewsbury street, Merivale, left his home apparently in good health, but saying that he was unable to cycle to Sockburn, where he had work to do. At 7.15 last night, a/neighbour of Hest's was walking in a little wooded grove adjoining Hest's residence, when he found his neighbour's body lying under the trees with the throat cut. The body was quite stiff, and the man had been dead for some hours. The police were informed, and the body was removed to the morgue. It was apparent that Hest had used a razor, but the instrument could not be found last night, as the light was failing. Hest had not been in the best of health for some time, and was out of employment a good deal. He leaves a widow and two children. An inquest will probably be opened this morning before the Coroner, when evidence of identification will be taken. '
