HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. WELLINGTON, November «L When the House of Representatives met this evening the following Bills were introduced and read a first time: — Napier Harbour Board Empowering Loan and Constitution Amendment Bill (Mr J. Mason), the Waimakariri River Improvement Amendment Bill (Hon. Mr Williams). With regard to the Napier Harbour Bill, Mr Mason explained that it was intended to give effect to the recommendations of the Commission which recently sat to consider the position of the harbour. The House then proceeded to discus* the answers given .by Ministers to printed questions. By Governor-General's Messages the following Bills were introduced and read a first time:—The Education Reserves Amendment Bill, the Native Land Amendment Bill, the Electric Power Boards Amendment Bill, and new clauses to the "Washing Tip" Bill. These latter were referred to the Lands Committee. The House then wont into Committee on the Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Bill, which was passed through all stages. The -House rose at 11.30 pjn.
