♦ T'K- Drama Societv of Canterbury College is branching out into a new type_ ot production with the presentation of The Cat and the Chemb," a melodrama of the Chinatown of San Francisco. Replay, which is billed for the "Little Theatre, for a three nights' season, starting on Mondav Kovember SSth, is an excellent little "thriller," well designed and constructed, with a fine plot, which give* opportunities for some really forceful and impressive ac ? - in» Professor Shellev and Miss >,eta Billclfffa are producing it, and those who saw their recent excellent production of Masefield's "Good Friday" will know the high standard of acting and detail their partnership is capable of. Both the above appear in the cist, with Miss M. Smith and Messrs Nea'e Prime, and Baker. The piece itself succeeds in blending the gripping, the tender, the witty, and ■ the tragic, with dramatic irony, into an aosoromg litue nlav As the theatre holds only 200, reserves will be on sale at the School of Forestry, in Worcester street, on Wednesday November 23rd.
