SUMNER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The anniversary services of the Sumner Presbyterian Church were conducted yesterday, large congregations attending throughout the day. Special music was used by the choir, and solos were sung by Miss Nancy Bowden, Miss Bessie Brown, and Mr T. Charters. The 11 o'clock service was conducted by the Rev. J. Lawson Robinson, of First Church, Invercargill, the Very Rev. James Aitken, of Gis'borne, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, preached at the children's service in the afternoon, and the evening preacher was the Rev. Dr. J. Gibb, late of First Church, Dunedir., and St. John's Church, Wellington.
