"DANCE MADNESS."
MODERN PICTURE AT THE
STRAND.
"Dance Madness," which is the main attraction at the Strand Theatre this week, is a picture which has aroused considerable interest wherever it has been shown, for, for some time past, the modern youth's craze for dancing has been the centre of one of the greatest and most bitter controversies of recent times. The picture tells of the rather hectic life of a newly-wedded couple with any amount of money, who are spending their honeymoon in Paris, and of the separation of wife and husband through the interference of another woman, and "dance madness '' Original and interesting, the theme of the picture provides ample occasion for the many incidents which arise throughout its showing, and its moral, directed at modern youth, is a sound one, and one which cannot be avoided or ignored. Second on the bill is a Western story starring Art Acord, well known as a Western star, rough rider, and clever actor, in "Western Pluck," an all-engrossing picture of the Wost as it was many years ago when a man's life depended largely on his ability to use a revolver. It is only on rare occasions that a yicture starring Acord does not appeal to adults, but never does one of his pictures fail to amuse and thrill the younger members of the audience. Supporting the main pictures arc a comedy, another episode of the serial "The Return of the Riddle Rider," a news film, and a scenic.
