RADIO SETS.

* WIRELESS CRAZE IN SYDNEY. (?ROII OUR OWN COEHESPONDBNT.) SYDNEY, November 10. The latest in Sydney flats is the equipment of buildings, by the owners, with complete radio sets. In Darlinghurst, which is the main home of Sydney's vast army of flatdwellers, and which, incidentally, is the subject of many stage jests, flats are now towering into the sky with a central receiver and a speaker unit, not merely for each flat, but for each room. The set itself is tuned to the local stations by a series of fixed condensers and switches. This obviates the necessity for an operator. A man in another district in Sydney is making hay while the wireless craze lasts. Possessing a very powerful set, he has leads to practically every house in the street. Each house pays him Is 3d a week, and supplies its own speaker and plug. Practically every other householder seems nowadays to have a wireless set, and the severest critics of the programmes broadcast are those who' do not pay license fees, and they are legion. Great difficulty is being experienced in the detection of illicit usrs now that sets can be so easily concealed.
