There are 150 mixed cattle, 14 horses, and all necessary implements, together with a flaxmilling and a sawmilling plant. Makarora is one of the most favourably known of the Lakes country stations, and has proved itself a particularly profitable wool-gTOwing and sheep-raißing property. The stock are all Corriedales, and as they have been culled each year, they are a young nock. Makarora is eapable of carrying fully double the number of sheep now on the property, and owing to Its altitude—loooft above sea-level —the risk from snow is very small indeed. The run h divided into various blocks by natural boundaries, and the station as now offered to the public affords an opportunity to acquire a high-class station in the Lakes district. With the station will be given a guaranteed number of sheep, the number to be ascertained from s> muster at shearing time and from a straggler muster which will take place later.
