SHIPPING NOTES. The Kotiti is to sail to-morrow evening for Kaikoura. The Wairau is due to-day from Blenheim. She loads here for Blenheim, and sails on Monday. The Progress is expected to-dav from Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. She loads for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato, and sails this evening. The Breeze should arrive at Lyttelton tomorrow from Wanganui, and takes in cargo here on Monday for Dunedin and Timaru. The Gale is expected from the south tomorrow. On Monday she loads for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Kennedy should arrive to-morrow from Foxton. She is to sail on Monday afternoon with cargo for Wellington and Foxton. The Cygnet, due to-night from Kaikoura and Wellington, is to be dispatched on Monday night on the return trip. The Calm is timed to load at Lvttelton on Tuesday for Bluff, Dunedin, and Timaru. The Waikouaiti, which is taking in cargo here for Sydney, is timed to sail on Monday for Timaru to complete. The Waipiata should arrive here on Tuesday from Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. She loads for Auckland and sails via Wellington. The Opihi is to sail this morning for Port Craig and Dunedin. The Kahika arrived yesterday from GisVorne with sheep and sailed last evening

for Dundeiu and Timaru. Due back on Tuesday, she will take in cargo here for Napier and Gisborne, The Katoa is expected to arrive hore on Tuesday from Auckland and Wellington, and I is to sail the same day for Dunedin, Bluff, and Port Craig. The Waipahi is duo to-morrow from Portland, via Wellington, with cement. On completion of discharge she will load for Auckland. The Totara is an expected arrival at Lyttelton on Wednesday. She loads for New Plymouth, and sailß via Wellington. The Sutherland is due at Lyttelton tomorrow from Ocean Island with phosphate for discharge to tho agency of~tho Union Steam Ship Company. The Canadian Pioneer should arrive this morning from Wellington to discharge East Canadian cargo. She is to Bail on Monday for Timaru and Dunedin. The Queen Eleanor arrived here yesterday morning from Wellington to discharge Montreal and Newport News cargo to the agency of tho New Zealand Shipping Company. She is to sail to-day for Dunedin, Bluff, and Australian ports to complete discharge. En route from San Francisco and Papeete, the R.M.S. Makura cleared Rarotonga on Tuesday for Wellington and Sydney. Tho vessel is due at Wellington on Monday morning, and is to leave again, the following afternoon for Sydney. Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Poolta, with timber from Clarence River and Port Stephens, left Newcastle at noon on Tuesday for Wellington, Timaru, Dunedin, and Groymouth. Sho is due at Wellington on Monday. Cable advice received states that the Hororata, bound from London and Southampton to New Zealand, left Panama on Sunday. She is due at Auckland on December sth. The steamer Martabaji, 5113 tons, has been chartered to load wool and general cargo at New Zealand ports for the United Kingdom and the Continent. The Martaban visited Auckland in January, 1926, when she discharged cargo from New York. Tho Mahia, with a cargo of maize from South Africa, is under the command of Captain G. Williams, and the following are the officors: —Chief, Mr E. G. Grayston; second, Mr T: Eadon; third, Mr R. G. James; fourth, Mr Jackson; chief engineer, Mr J. Nicoll; second, Mr D. Hardy; third, Mr G. Hodge; fourth, Mr R. McCallum; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr J. McDonald; second, Mr J. McKendry; wireless operator, Mr J. Turner; chief steward, Mr A. Roberts.
