SIX-BALL OVER.
CRICKET DELEGATES' DECISION After a brief discussion, the New Zealand' Cricket Conference decided last evening to play overs in future throughout the Dominion. The chairman, Mr E. Heathcote Williams, said it had been the practice to play eight balls to the over, but in Australia there was a reversion to six. The latter practice would make for better cricket. . Mr J. H. Hayhow (Wanganui) moved that the six-ball over be the rule in all matches. Mr D. Reese seconded the motion, j He said all the honours were going to batsmen in these days, and something should be done for the bowlers. The I New Zealand _ team was unanimously in favour of six balls to the over. The motion was carried.
