If the two vepoints could be. reconciled might be possible to initiate negotiations for an Alliance between Britain and ETPt, which would permit Egypt to realue her complete independence and determine Egypt's relations with Britain These delicate conversations had been conducted in a spirit of friendship, and with a desire to reconcile l,heir respective standpoints.
