FINES FOR TEACHERS.
0 RESOLUTIONS OF PROTEST. At a meeting of the Woolston School teacher;, held yesterday, indignation was expressed at the proposed amendment to the Education Act. The following resolution was carried unanimously: "That this meeting of Woolston School teachers strongly protests against the unjustifiable action of the Government under the dueation Amendment Bill,. empowering Education Boards to inflict fines for disobedience of lawful commands or neglect of duty." A similar resolution was passed bv the teachers of the East Christc-liureh School
