OLYMPIC GAMES.
BRITAIN'S ATTITUDE. (by cable—fbess association—copyright.) (attstbalian and r.z cable association.) LONDON, November 15. The "Athletic News," summarising the position in regard to the Olympic Games, Bays: "Britain is definitely not competing in the Soccer and hockey, and may not compete in boxing and cycling, but will compete in athletics, which is considere 1 the real reason for the existence of the games. The attitude of other bodies like those controlling swimming and gymnastics is uncertain, though it is expected that the majority will ultimately agree under protest."
VOTE BY FRENCH SENATE.

PARIS, November 16. The Senate voted £16,600 to defray the cost of French participation in the Amsterdam Olympic games.

CAPE TOWN, November 16. The Marylebone match was spoiled by persistent rain. There was no play on Tuesday and the match was restarted at three o'clock yesterday. Western Province made 67 for six (Serrurier 17, Nourse, not out, 11). Freeman took five for 15.
