STRAND THEATRE.
"The Shock" is exciting melodrama with Lon Chancy, the incomparable character actor, in the leading role as a cripple. Supporting him is Virginia Valli, who takee the part of a wealthy girl against whom an underworld gang seek vengeance on account of a wrong her father committed. "Sally, Irene, and Mary" tell conjointly of the life of three Broadway girls, Sally who loves her elderly "papa," Irene who loves without considering the price, and Mary, who lovee a plumber and a good time.
