MILITARY BOXING TOURNAMENT
(PBZBS ASSOCIATION TELEOBAM.) • WELLINGTON, November 16. At a military boxing tournament to-night, Cadet N. McGurk (Christchurch) defeated N._ Surridge (Wellington), the latter being disqualified for boldng. In the second round of the welter championship P. Stone (Wellington) beat Jaggers (Christchurcb) on points. In the cadet contest under Bst 91b J. Blacker (Christchurch) won from W. Cunningham (Wellington). In the Territorial class under lOst R. Lett (Christchurch) was knocked out by L. Cookson (Wellington). In the bantam championship C. Hume (Wellington) defeated Overend (Christchurch). J. Cotterill (Christchurch) defeated Beard (Christchurch) in the feather-weight championship after the best bout of the evening. Healy (Christchurch) defeated F. Norris (Wellington) in tho light-weight championship. Jn the heavy-weight championship Mowat (Christchurch) knocked out Pickrang (Wellington).
