ST. GEORGE'S HOSPITAL.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
The committee of St. George's Hospital met yesterday, Mr G. Gould presiding. Also present were: Canon Wilf ord, theßev. C. A. Fraer, Messrs E. J. Fleming, F. Hiatt, S. McMurray, T. D. Harman, A. H. Hadfield, L. B. Haines, and R. J. G. Collins.
With regard to the work of laying out the hospital grounds, the reported that they had made a careful survey, and recommended that the system of drainage should be to Leinster road, to which there was an adequate and sufficient fall. A plan had been, prepared for laying out the grounds in drives, lawns, and flower beds, with sufficient space for parking cars. When they had drafted specifications for the work, estimates would immediately be obtained and submitted to the executive.
The report was adopted. Canon Wilford reported that the following sums had been received .-—General fund, anonymous, £lO 10s, and Mr T. H. Prestide £1 Is; X-ray fund Mr C. S Thomas, £3 3s; Mrs Sweney 10s. Mrs Tripp £lO, Dr. Pairman £1 is, Mr G. Jameson £5. W. Morgan (Melton) £lO, and Mr L. White (Rakaia) £5.
