SHIPPING NOTES.
Hcaw rain set in at LytteWon shortly before noon yesterday and continued lor the. remainder of the day. AH work was .topped on the waterfront and the departure of some rebels was postponed until to-day. The Process arrived at Lytte ton yesterday from Wellington and is.to sail to-day for Dunedin. She will prjlably omit Lyttelton 0^ h h e C from Nc£ Plymomh and loads here *»' Wellington, Wanganui. New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Waipinta arrived yesterday afternoon from Wellington to discharge cargo from Auckland. She is to sail to-day for Dunedinandl Tim.ru. and is due back at the end of the week to load for.Auckland. The Ognet was expected during last night from Kalkoura. and Wellington. She is to sail to-night on the return trip. The Opihi should arrive to-day from Westport with coal: It is hoped to dispatch her to-night for Dunedm and Titnaru. She should be back on Saturday to take in cargo for Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport.
The Calm is now due to-morrow from Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kurow, due to-day from Dunedin, loads for Napier and Auckland. She sails to-morrow. The Government steamship Tut3nekai is due to-day from AVellington on her round of South Island lighthouses. She proceeds from here to Akaroa. The Holmdale is expected to-morrow from Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kekerangu should arrive to-day from Dunedin with cargo from South Australian ports for discharge. The Gale is due on Saturday from Timaru, and is to sail the same day for Wellington, Pieton, and Wanganui. The Kahika lands Bheep here to-day from Gisborne, and sails for Dunedin and Timaru. She returns here on Sunday and loads on Monday for Napier and Gisborne. The Canadian Pioneer is expected to-mor-row from Wellington to discharge cargo from East Coast ports of Canada. She is to sail on Friday for Timaru and Dunedin. The Athenic, which left Liverpool on October 18th for New Zealand, is due at Auckland on November 25th. The City of Lyons sailed from New York on November sth for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin. and Australian ports. She is due at Auckland on December Bth. The Cumberland is due at- Auckland on December Bth. She sailed from Liverpool on October Bth. Cable advice has been received that the New Zealand Shipping Company's Hororata, outward bound, arrived at Panama on Sunday morning last. The steamer is duo at Auckland on December sth, aud later proceeds to Wellington.
