ANGLO-RUSSIAN RELATIONS.

TRADE FALLS AWAY. SIR W. JOYNSON-HICKS'S WARNING. (ET CABLZ-PBBSS ASSOCIATION— COPTBIGHT.) ("THE TIMES.") (Received November 14th, 7.45 p.m.) LONDON. November 13. Sir W. Jovnson-Hioks (Home Secretary), in a "letter to the Bradford Chamber of Commerce in reply to representations regarding Angjo-ltussian relations, especially their effect on the wool and textile industry, emphasises that tfie Government is anxious to foster Anglo-Russian trade and does not desire to interfere with iintisn firms trading with Russia; consequently it agrees to a concession tuat a Soviet employer joining the Russian Trading Association may visit Britain at first for six months with a possibility of extension, which would normally be granted subject to rns behaviour and the volume of trade atone. Sir W. Joynson-Hicks adds to the statement that the Soviet has not placed new orders in Britain during the last few months. "This is most disquieting, as tho Arcos Company and members of other Russian organisations were admitted for the purposes of trade. If trade does not result, it is impossible to justify the continued stay of Russians. If stagnation such as you describe endures for any period, the whole question may be revived.
