NON-POLITICAL.
AN INVITATION "RECEIVED." The Christchurch Citizens' Association wrote to last night's meeting of tho Council of the Chamber of Commerce inviting it to send three representatives to the next general meeting of tho Association on Thursday. At this meeting the association desired to place before the Employers' Associations and other associations its tramway policy, and the views of its candidates. Criticism would be invited. An invitation was also offered to as many members of the associations a3 cared to attend in a private capacity. As civic organisation was now of first importance, in view of Labour's policy on the City Council, a general discussion on this matter would also take place.
The chairman (Mr C. P. Agar) remarked that a Chamber of Commerce was a non-political body and could not bo represented at such a meeting. Members of the Chamber could attend in a private capacity if they so ciesired. The letter was received.
