PRISONERS SENTENCED.
! (press association telbgbam.) t n. c AUCKLAND, November 14. In the Supreme Court, for the theft of tin ingots from the warehouse of John Burns ... S mpan ? BIX men were sentenced. Kenneth Edward James McQuoid and Frank Leonard 0 Donnell were charged with breaking, entering, and theft. The former was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour following the expiry of a term he is now serving, and 0 Donnell to eighteen months' hard labour. Samuel Howard for receiving stolen goods was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour; Joseph John James Kyle, six months' har'd labour; Francis Henry Kac, two years' reformative detention conenrrent with the sentence he is now serving; and Harrv Packer, one month's hard labour. Harold Avery Clayton, who had preved on the public by posing as "Doctor" Clayton, was sentenced to twelve months* hard labour, to be followed by two years' reformative detention. Accused had obtained credit by fraud and false pretences at Hamilton, and had served sentences previously.
