SHIPPING NOTES. The Gale is to be dispatched today for Dunedin and Timaru. The Corinnn, due this morning from Timnru, loads for New Plymouth and sails via Wellington. The Opihi is due from West-port to-morrow. She -will- discharge coal here and sail for the south. She is due back at tho end of the week, when she will load for Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport. • The Kekerangu is expected to-morrow rooming from Dunedin to discharge South Australian cargo, loaded at Edithburg and Adelaide. , ~ The Waipiata is due today from Auckland and Wellington, and is to sail to-night for Dunedin and Timaru. She is due back on Sunday, and will load on Monday for Auckland. , , The Sutherland is expected to-morrow from Ocean Island with phosphate for discharge. The Cvgnet is due to-night from Kaikoura and Wellington. She is to sail tomorrow nijrht on the return trip. The Waikouaiti is expected on Thursday from Newcastle and Sydney, via Bluff and Dunedin. She- sails later for Timaru and Svdney. *. The Manuka should arrive here about ->nvember -4th from Melbourne, via Bluff and Dunedin. She is to sail the same day for Wellington and Melbourne. The Kurow is due to-morrow from Duncuin to load for Napier and Auckland. Tho Calm is to load here to-morrow for Wellington and Wanganui. The Progress, due to-morrow from Dunedin and Timaru. takes in cargo for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Holmdale. which has been under overhaul at Port Chalmers, should arrive towards the end of the week to iuad for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kahika is expected to-mf.rn-w from Gisborne with fheep. She is to sail in the evening for Dunedin, and is duo back, via Timaru. on Sunday. On Monday she is to load for Napier and Gisborne. The Waipahi is due at Lyttelton od Tuesday nest from Portland and WeWcston. The John is to load at Lyttelton to-morrow for Waikato. - The Norfolk, now discharging cargo at Auckland from Newport, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool, was to - sail yesterday afternoon for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete discharge. Later she will load at New Zealand ports for the United Kingdom. Captain F, W. Robinson has with him the following officers: First, Mr F. A. Orr; second, Mr L. 0. Hill; third, Mr J. W. Caddy; sixth, Mr L. Bain; seventh, Mr G. L. Allen; chief steward, Mr E. Hall. Cable advice has been received that the New Zealand Shipping Company's Rimutaka sailed from Southampton on Friday last. The steamer is due at Wellington on December 21st to land passengers, and from there proceeds to Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Hawke's Bay to discharge cargo.
