SKIDDED IN SHINGLE.
MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT. James K. Baillie, a single man aged 22, whose home is in "Westport and who is employed at Andersons, Ltd., set off from his lodgings, 36 Hereford street, on Saturday morning to motor-cycle to Timaru. He was found at 8.30 a.m. lying on the road near Rolleston in an unconscious condition, his machine having on some loose shingle. Baillie was taken to the Christchurcb. Hospital suffering from concussion and other injuries. His condition is serious, and, though there was a slight improvement last evening, he is still only semi-conscious.
