MODEL YACHTING.

The Christchurch Mode! Yacht Club sailed off the first two heats of the race for trophies presented by the president (Mr Geo. Humphreys) at Victoria Lake on Saturday. The wind was very light from the N.N.E. Eleven boats competed under the supervision of the Club Commodore, Mr 0. B. Ekenstein. Fallowing are the results:— First heat —H. Semmeus's Annis (handicap Smin) 1, S. W. Smith's Felix (handicap 44 rain) 2. .W. S. Kingston's Sans Atout (scr) 3, A. Semmens's Dolphin (handicap lOsec) 4, J. 1,. Buxton's Huia (handicap 4min) 5. Time. 37Jmiu. Second heat—E. Hodge's Tui (handicap 3 min) 1, C. A. Oakes's Emerald Isle (handicap 7min) 2, Annis 3, Sans Atout 4, Dolphin a. Time, 35min. The race will be resumed on November 26th.
