FIRES. OLD HOUSE DAMAGED. The City Fire Brigade received a call at 9.50 last evening to the corner of Selwyn street and Moorhouse avenue, where fire had broken out in an unoccupied dwelling containing six rooms. The house is a wooden one about 50 years old. It is situated next to A. 8. Paterson and Co.'s oil stores and' is i-onerty ol the company. Considerable damage was done to" the building before the Brigade could get the fire under control. The need for protection against fire loss is obvious.
