ARANUI BURGESSES.

i At the monthly meeting of the Aranui Bvifgesses' Association, Mr J. Brooke-Taylor presided. Mr W. J. Walter addressed the meeting on tramway matters, and was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. A letter was received from the Heathcote County Council, enclosing copies of the proposed ne.v electricity reticulation m Avon ar.d Bromley ridings. A motion endorsing the proposal was carried. The Social Committee's* report showed losses on all '.he recent socials, and contained a recommendation that dances be cut out on and after Saturday, November 19th, when straight-out euchre drives would be run without supper. The recommendation was adopted. Complaints wire received of the dangerous condition of Pace's road footpath between Bexley road and the bridea. It was resolved to draw the attention of the County Council to the matter, also to the bad state of Breeze's rond near the new bridge.
