WATERSIDER GAOLED.
THEFT FROM SHIP. (PB£3S ASSOCIATIOK TBLZGRAM.) DUNEDIN, November 11, la the Magistrate's Court, John George Murray, aged 58, a waterside worker, was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment for the theft of goods valued at four shillings, from the West Nivaria. The Magistrate remarked that he could not overlook the fact that a considerable amount of cargo was stolen during the course of the year, the thieves seldom being punished; and for that reason he had imposed a term of imprisonment.
