BEST CADET UNIT.

HONOUR FALLS TO NELSON COLLEGE. (PBESS ASeOQATIOH TELEGRAM.) NELSON, November 11. Nelson College Cadets have again won the Riddiford Cup, which is awarded to the best secondary school cadet unit in the Dominion. The com- J petition was inaugurated in 1922, and Nelson College has won it five times out of six. The Examining Board was ! Lieut.-Colonel Symon, Captains Conway and Davis, from General Headquarters. Colonel Symon, in an interview, spoke in the highest terms of the splendid exhibition, and congratulated the acting-principal (Mr J. G McKay) and the staff generally, but particularly the bovs, whose work all round was of the highest standard and spirit of the very keenest. Their efficiency bore the mark of high traditions extending over a long period of years.
