BOXING.

* TOM HEENEY. SUCCESS IN AMERICA. (FROM OTTO OWN COREESPON-DEirr.) LONDON, October 4. Tom Heeney's 77-seconds knock-out of Jim Maloney is considered the most sensational boxing performance here this year (writes a New York correspondent). . Maloney made short work of Deiner, the German champion, and Persson, the conqueror of Scott, and until three months ago he was regarded as the next best man to Tunney in America. Hecney outclassed him in every way. Heeney is immeasurably better than when I last saw him in London. He has developed a terrific punch, and now has a great chance of being matched with Tunney. Until this win Heeney was only one of a fistic crowd, but he is now ranked ,with Dempsev and Sharkey, his valuation being £IOO,OOO. A Rcuter message states that Heeney will now meet Jack Sharkey, the Boston heavyweight, in Madison Square Gardens on November 18th.
